Here is a journal entry that's been intensely hard to sit on since we shot it a ways back. Jo & I spent the absolute loveliest morning snarfing bagels her dear bf picked up, snuggling Kimbo, dressing up and digging through her closet to play with all the crazy accessories she's amassed over the years. The Best.
I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with this wise & generous spirit.

Kimbo is an ANGEL! How did this most perfect boy come into your life?! And what is the cutest/weirdest thing he has ever done?
I was taking a walk in the garden outside the apartment we used to live in on Miami Beach after a pretty bad hurricane and I kept hearing tiny meows from a palm tree planter and when I looked inside the planter I saw a tiny little puff ball of wet fur with one eye looking right at me and picked him up and put him in a box and from that day it was love at first sight. He's named after this famous Miami street fighter named Kimbo Slice who basically was a hero to a lot of kids around the area. RIP to him.

I've also trained him to talk so whenever I come home from being out all day he will greet me at the door with a big MEOW that almost sounds like he's saying hi.

Something that not a lot of people know about me is that I studied Fine Arts in college with a focus in oil painting and installation and I've been working on some new paintings and I'm really hoping to share them with the world soon. They are a new series of portraits, but I don't want to give too much away yet.
